Vincenzo Iaquinta might miss UEFA EURO 2008, as his football club, Juventus, announced at the beginning of May that the football player is forced to miss the rest of the Series A season because of an injury sustained a month ago. Thus, it is likely for Iaquinta to miss also UEFA EURO 2008.

Vincenzo Iaquinta is 28 years old and he has scored eight goals in 24 league appearances this term. Unfortunately, he was injured in training midway in April and although he was expected to get over it for the Bianconeri’s final two matches, the football club confirmed he won’t play anymore during this campaign. On the other hand, he might still miss this summer’s famous UEFA EURO tournament.

Now Italy’s national football team’s coach, Roberto Donadoni, has to decide whether to risk or not with including Vincenzo Iaquinta in the squad for UEFA EURO 2008. Although scans had suggested that the player was recovering, Juventus seems to have chosen not to risk, “given the delicacy of muscular injuries.”

Now, coach Roberta Donadoni has to take his own decision. Vincenzo Iaquinta has 23 caps and only one goal for Italy’s football team. However, he played at 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
