Russia: Vladimir Gabulov Injured!

Another one gets injured in Russia’s national football team, adding to Russian fans’ worries.

Vladimir Gabulov limped out of training on Tuesday after a collision with another player, Denis Kolodin. Andrei Grishanov, the team’s doctor said that Gabulov sustained a very painful knock to his thigh. “We do not think it is anything serious but we will be able to say for sure on Wednesday,” the doctor also added.

Feeling sorry for his mate, Denis Kolodin stated that “It was a normal challenge and unfortunately I hit him with my knee. I pray there is nothing serious with Volodya.”

So, if Pavel Pogrebnyak is likely to be able to perform at EURO 2008, now it’s Vladimir Gabulov that might not be able to get on the field.
