France: Trezeguet not Included in Domenech’s 30-man Provisional Squad
Tuesday, May 20th, 2008Raymond Domenech, France’s national football team’s coach, made public the provisional list of 30 players for UEFA EURO 2008 during a press conference at the French Football Federation headquarters in Paris. Surprisingly or not, Juventus’ striker David Trezeguet was not chosen by coach Domenech to be part of this provisional 30-man squad.
Another surprise, this time a positive one, was the inclusion of AS Saint-Etienne’s striker Bafetimbi Gomis in France’s national football team. Gomis was selected for the first time in the national team, as he impressed coach Domenech after a promising season that included no less than 16 league goals.
