Another one gets injured in Russia’s national football team, adding to Russian fans’ worries.
Vladimir Gabulov limped out of training on Tuesday after a collision with another player, Denis Kolodin. Andrei Grishanov, the team’s doctor said that Gabulov sustained a very painful knock to his thigh. “We do not think it is anything serious but we will be able to say for sure on Wednesday,” the doctor also added.

Another squad has to deal with problems! This time it’s Spain’s national football team, which’s preparations have been disrupted by three strikers’ getting injured during their last training session ahead of their final warm-up match the United States in Santander on 4 June.
David Villa, Fernando Torres and Sergio Garcia have all picked up injuries that might force them to stay away from the field for EURO 2008. David Villa has to undergo further test after he sustained a blow to his right thigh. Sergio Garcia was hit to his ankle, while Fernando Torres is having problems to an ankle too.
Spain’s coach is probably thinking of solutions right now!

Another important Turkish football player is struggling to make it for EURO 2008. Tuncay Sanli has been suffering from back muscle injury for a while and this problem seems to have held him back during the second day of training since Turkey’s football team arrived at their base in Switzerland.

Romania will face powerful teams at EURO 2008, as Group C is one of the toughest groups, featuring the Netherlands, France and Italy. Romania needs as much energy as they can get, so the fact that defender Dorin Goian has been passed fit to play in EURO 2008 is very good news for this country’s national football team and their fans.
FC Steaua Bucuresti’s center-back player suffered tendon damage to his right heel during a friendly against Montenegro and it was thought that he might not be able to play at EURO 2008 because of this damage.

After scaring both mates and fans that he might not play at EURO 2008 because of injury, Pavel Pogrebnyak was confirmed by Russia’s national football team’s coach to eventually play at EURO 2008.
Pavel Pogrebnyak raised concerns after he picked up an injury during his team 2-1 friendly against Serbia last Wednesday. He started to complain of pain at one of his knees and he was sent to Munich for scans. At that moment it was thought that Pogrebnyak might miss EURO 2008 because of the injury, which had appeared to be more severe that initially thought.

After being “lucky” enough to be visited by two naked girls on the training field, Italy’s national football team will now have to deal with captain Fabio Cannavaro’s ankle ligament injury. Cannavaro has been recently confirmed not to be able to perform in the finals because of this injury.
Fabio Cannavaro has been ruled out after he got the ankle ligament damage on Monday. This surely angered coach Roberto Donadoni, who had to return to the drawing board and come up with solutions.
