Monday, June 9th, 2008Austria went the same way as co-hosts Switzerland and lost their first EURO 2008 game in front of Croatia. Austria 0-1 Croatia.
Having no victory in major finals for 18 years, Austria seemed desperate to make their mark as early as possible in EURO 2008’s Group B. However, Croatia’s Luka Modric put an end to Austrians’ dreams.
